You have to choose it manually for your sim but I’ll try this now. It won’t work like Cienzroza’s mod because Kijiko’s mod is a skin detail (mole on the left cheek). You can find it on the 3D eyelashes V2 site, scroll down to “EA eyelashes remover mod”. I have never notived that, tested it now and it works with the mermaids. Thanks to who mentioned an EA eyelash remover by Kijiko. I’ll let you know, if this “workaround” (kind of) isn’t as good as I think right now. So, please don’t blame me or call for a solution if mermaids still have weird empty faces. Important! I tested this on the lfy and way not long enough to be fully sure, everything works fine. So this is an acceptable “workaround” for me until the mod is updated. So I removed the “Cien No EA Lashes For Males V3.package” from my mods folder and … well, my male Sims seams to have their kind of ugly eyelashes back BUT … my female sims don’t (and their lashes looked way more uglier than the male ones in my opinion!).
Female ones never had a “broken/empty” face. In case your mermaids haven’t a face this is caused by The No EA eyeleashes mod from which needs an update for The Sims 4 “Island Living” expansion pack.
